  1. New Solar Jobs Census by State, County, Metro Area, and Congressional District

    • The Solar Foundation today (March 18) released an updated map on the number of solar jobs in every state, metropolitan area, county, and congressional district, revealing the geographic distribution of America’s 250,271 solar jobs. The interactive map can be viewed at SolarStates.org. The updated map provides complete data on solar jobs in all 50 states, along with details on jobs by solar employment sector; solar workforce demographics; solar industry background; and much more. Users can toggle between 2015, 2016, and 2017 data to see the number of solar jobs year over year. See "Related Content #1"

  2. Latest Department of Defense Military Occupational Classification Now Incorporated into O*NET

    • The Military Occupational Classification (MOC) crosswalk has been updated by the Department of Defense (April 2018) and incorporated into O*NET OnLine and My Next Move for Veterans. By supplementing this crosswalk with additional sources of data, both sites offer over 36,500 linkages between nearly 13,000 distinct MOC occupations and related O*NET-SOC occupations.   3. California Indian Manpower Consortium (CIMC) Condor Connection Newsletter, May 2018

    • On February 1, 2018, CIMC marked 40 years of providing quality service to Indian Country. In addition to other services, CIMC has provided workforce development services to more than 70,000 individuals, have served approximately 36,000 meals to nearly 900+ elders annually since 1991, have provided emergency Community Service Block Grant services to more than 25,000 families and individuals since 1993, and trained 500+ Native entrepreneurs. During these past four decades, CIMC has clearly demonstrated its commitment to creating positive change for Native communities. See "Related Content #3"

  4. Census Newsletter - The Many Steps to 2020

    • Attached is the latest newsletter on American Indian and Alaska Native issues in Census Bureau operations and data. The feature story discusses the many steps to the 2020 Census.  It reviews a number of the operations that the Census Bureau must take in order to conduct the next decennial, focusing on those operations in which tribes and Native community-based organizations can become involved.
