Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) Smart Agriculture and Rural Workshop (February 18-19); Tour of Tribally Owned Broadband Provider (Gila River Telecommunications) Planned.  The GCTC Agriculture and Rural Super Cluster will host a workshop with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), and the Rural Broadband Association (NTCA).  This workshop will showcase the latest innovations in smart ag, rural connectivity, STEM, and telehealth and public safety.  To register, click here.

Department of Labor issues notice regarding availability of the InterAgency Principals' Record Podcast on Requirements and Considerations for Unified and Combined States Plans for 2020-23.  The Governor of each State must submit a Unified or Combined State Plan to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor that outlines a four-year strategy for the State's workforce development system.  Click here for podcast and transcript.

Center for Law and Social Policy's (CLASP) January 21 Conference Call: Youth, Opioids, & Race.  National Youth Employment Coalition will host a January 21 conference call focusing on CLASP's mental health work focusing on how race and ethnicity affect how a person approaches the health system, receives services, and more broadly, how systems and policies are designed in the first place.  When - January 21 (2:00pm-3:00pm EST) / 202-930-5663 no pin needed.

U.S. Census Bureau - Census 2020: $500 million Public Education and Outreach Campaign includes more than 1,000 Ads.  Census Bureau officials provided an overview of the communications effort and previewed ads that are part media campaign.  Beginning in mid-March, households can respond to the census online, by phone or by mail.  For more information, click here.

Nearly $1 Million in Scholarships and Grants now available form the National Restaurant Association.  Starting today, students, military servicemen and women and individuals pursuing restaurant, food service or hospitality career can apply for scholarships and grants offered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF).  Applying for scholarship awards: click here.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Awards Nearly $3.2 Billion to Local Homeless Programs.  HUD announced nearly $2.2 billion in grants to support thousands of local homeless assistance programs across the nation.  List of State and Local Homeless Projects - click here.
