Announcing Funding Availability for CAREER National Dislocated Worker Grants
About
This TEGL will be published on www.grants.gov, as well ETA’s directory of guidance. ETA expects to review applications in August, and the last day to submit an application for these funds will be August 31, 2021. The TEGL will provide more detailed instructions for applying.
The CAREER DWGs will support and enhance the ability of the public workforce system to provide effective, accessible, and equitable solutions focused on providing career training and stable family-sustaining employment opportunities for unemployed Americans. Grant activities can include staff-assisted career services to support reemployment, appropriate supportive services, training, outreach to participants and partnerships. Applicants can also request funds for virtual technology applications or platforms for employment and training activities, including to connect unemployment and reemployment systems.
Eligible entities include states, outlying areas, local workforce development boards, entities eligible for funding through the Indian and Native American program in WIOA Section 166(c), and other entities. The TEGL will provide detailed descriptions of eligible applicants.
Interested applicants should look to www.grants.gov for this funding opportunity early next week. ETA will also host a webinar for prospective applicants the following week, on www.WorkforceGPS.org.
